Hooray For Earth to tour with Surfer Blood

Hotline repost, because I love Hooray For Earth and am still all about Surfer Blood: A pleasant TGIF shout-out to Cambridge’s fuzzed-out pop-rock dudes Hooray For Earth, who appear to have a pretty cool summer ahead of them.

Not only does HFE have a new EP, “MOMO,” set to drop off Devecote Records on June 1, but the band was also picked up to open 12 dates in June for the Surfer Blood and The Pains of Being Pure At Heart East Coast tour.

That’s a pretty sweet gig, and certainly the EP should be one of the finer local releases of the year. Before hitting the road with Surfer Blood and POBPAH, Horray For Earth will showcase the “MOMO” tracks on May 17 at the Middlesex Lounge in Central Square. Twin Shadow and the always-loveable You Can Be A Wesley round out the bill. Mark it down.
