Tax this! Echo & the Bunnymen coming back

From Hotline: Now that they’ve made good with the local taxman, Echo & the Bunnymen are set to resume their North American tour. The British post-punk legends hit the Paradise Rock Club on April 26. Tickets are $29.50 and are on sale now.

Some might remember that last fall’s tour promoting new album “The Fountain” was postponed after a dispute with the International Revenue Service. (It was slated to hit our House of Blues.) Since Echo & the Bunnymen played a string of small club dates in October, the new tour would have triggered a fee for foreign bands touring the U.S. more than once in 30 days. Who knew that law existed?

As originally planned last fall, glammy UK rock act Hatcham Social – who were also a part of the canceled Charlatans UK tour – gets opening duties. Here’s the full tour route, and a trip back to the age of “The Killing Moon” down below for a lovely Monday afternoon.
