Hotz serving it up: It was tough to find a SXSW recap that didn’t heap mounds of praise on the Boston-based hip-hop pop-soul fusion band known as Bad Rabbits. Listed in the Herald's "10 Bands To Watch in 2010" back in December, the cats formerly known as Eclectic Collective are described as “the swagger of Prince with the intensity of Bad Brains.” Anything that can live up to that billing is on to something mega.
But before Bad Rabbits’ mega-hyped homecoming show tonight at Great Scott with Cincinnati party people Foxy Shazam, the dudes fend off the wind and the rain at a pre-gig in-store appearance at Karmaloop on Newbury Street. After tonight they’ll be on the road with Foxy for 24 cross-country dates through April. This band is bound to explode on the national scene, so get in the 'Loop with them now. Rain don't hurt.
