Hotline: How vinyl records are made

Repost from Hotline because it's Friday and this is awesome: It’s been well-documented that vinyl records have made their long-awaited comeback, from the shelves of Newbury Comics to the DJ booth at the local dance party to your own living room shelving unit. But for those raised on compact discs and now drunk on tech files and mp3s – ever wonder how records are actually made?

Over on the Make Magazine blog, Hotline just stumbled across this ace short documentary by Nick Cavalier, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the production of vinyl discs at the Gotta Groove Records plant in Cleveland, Ohio.

It's a nice afternoon remedy for that TGIF itch before crashing the scenes later on tonight...
