So Alice in Chains are back, officially I guess, and are giving away their new song, the 7-minute long neo-grunge cruncher "A Looking In View," via their website. I was a fairly big AIC fan when I was 13 or so (I dare you to say "Would?" doesn't hold up), so I'm all protective of Layne Staley and the "Facelift"/"Dirt" era but then again who gives a shit life goes on and this song really isn't that terrible.

Also, Alice in Chains hits the Paradise Sept. 7, which could/should be interesting in a curiosity sorta way. Or not. Really, I'm not sure. Here are the full NA tour listing:
