The Boston Herald article on Tudan and the book ran today. While I'm not entirely pleased with the over-edit hack job, it still gets the point across. The Herald had a ton of awesome images of the zone at its gritty sleaze peak in the 1970s, though I think the photo gallery shown with the article is of our tour with Tudan last week. The XXX Files -- Remembering Boston's old Combat Zone in 1969
Had the great pleasure of spending the day with Jonathan Tudan last week, author of "Lovers, Muggers & Thieves -- A Boston Memoir," which talks about his summer of '69 as an 18-year-old managing a Tremont Street flophouse in the old Combat Zone.
