We're almost half way home in 2k9, and Ryan's Smashing Life has already beaten us to the punch with his staff picks for Best Albums of the Year (Good to get it out of the way now -- there's that massive Best of 2000s list to be decided on in the fall). I generally agree with RSL's music picks -- this is a man who appreciates Pela -- so I'm happy to see some of my favs on the list, including Passion Pit, Logan 5 & the Runners, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, MEandJOANCOLLINS, Metric and Doves.Solid list all around, though mine later this year might be a bit different, but a good source to see just how rather tame music has been this year so far.
