I kicked off perhaps my best two DJ sets ever last Friday at the pill with Ladyhawke's "Magic," and damned if this isn't the sexiest song I've heard all year.
Given the sudden sense of personal yearning experienced last week due to a flame's brief absence, the music itself is quite appropriate even though the lyrics mostly don't match up to my exuberant emotional state. But this entire album is incredible, and I'm glad I skipped out on her show at the House of Blues several weeks ago, as I was in attendance with the wrong person...
