ITP: Mambo Beat Club turns 2 tonight

From ze Hotline de la Herald: It’s the season of dance party anniversaries around Boston, and tonight Mambo Beat Club celebrates Year 2 of booty-shakin’ soul down at ZuZu in Central Square. DJ Ari, a.k.a. Bugalu Beat Train and founder of the Cheap Thrills A Go-Go DJ collective, promises all sorts of Cambridge-drunk tricks and treats this evening, offering up “forgotten psych, soul, funk, garage, and Latin vinyl nuggets from the late ‘50s to early ‘70s.” Standing still is not an option.

“Every Thursday night at ZuZu for the past couple of years I've had the opportunity to host a weekly dance party called Mambo Beat Club, which is devoted to these low down n' dirty a** shakin' sexadelic sounds,” Ari reports. “Expect bad behavior, killer tunes, a non-stop orgy of hip shaking dance moves, and special DJ guest appearances.”

Killer.
