New Hooray for Earth video ::: show Sat 12/5

Yesterday I posted that Magic Magic remix and mentioned Saturday's super gig at Great Scott -- Hooray For Earth, Magic Magic, Mystery Roar and DJ Die Young -- and now along comes another video-buoyed promotional push. This time it's Hooray For Earth supplying the visuals, as the feelgood puppet joyride video for "Surrounded By Your Friends" was just posted to Vimeo.

Hooray For Earth's new EP "Momo" is out via the eMusic Selects Series, and the first video from it is below. Under it is the blurb for Saturday I wrote this morning for Saturday's show...

"Surrounded By Your Friends" by Hooray For Earth from Mathematical Park on Vimeo.

Hooray For Earth, with Magic Magic, Mystery Roar with DJ Sets by: Die Young
SATURDAY 12.05.09

Cambridge-based label Dopamine Records throws down the Saturday night gauntlet, taking two of the finest acts on its killer roster (Hooray For Earth and DJ Die Young) and adding ready-to-explode orchestral indie act Magic Magic and the soul-funk of Mystery Roar. Maybe the best lineup Great Scott offers in the month of December outside its holiday party, Hooray For Earth are coming off a scorching September set at the pill, barreling hard upon the sea of jittery dirty-pop theatrics in search of their own white whale. Magic Magic are already turning crazy heads in the UK and beyond with an arcadian blaze that has set their hometown of Salem ablaze, but for the love of fucking everything go seek out the French Horn Rebellion Remix of "Sleepy Lion." Dave Duncan dropped this on FNX's New England Product Sunday night and I almost drove off the fucking Zakim Bridge. So good. And you've already slept with Mystery Roar, so you know how they roll (hint: "magnum").

21+ 9pm $9 tickets
We recommend: "Take Care," by Hooray For Earth, "Sleepy Lion," by Magic Magic, "Why Can't I See You," by Mystery Roar (No, seriously, we recommend all of them)
