I'm pretty bored, jaded and miserable these days, but I'm pretty excited about tonight, as Andre Obin (ex-Matters & Dunaway, the best Boston duo few unfortunately heard) debuts his new live band, Ether Field. There are no songs posted online, so it's a real "hear it all for the first time" kinda vibe. Ether Field is at the pill in September (yeah, I booked them without hearing a note) so I'm excited to see what's in store. The show is part of the monthly Influenza series, which I'm not terribly sold on given its "presenters," but I should time this right to check out Obin's genius and dance to a few Bodega tunes.
