Tying shit in with the "We Are The Mods" afterparty last week at le pill, I busted out a bunch of garage stuff I rarely spin. Hearing Thee Vicars' bouncy '60s roll "Mr Operator" finally on the pill dance floor felt like I righted a previous wrong, and a host of other Dirty Water Records jams -- the Branded, Thee Exciters, Morlocks -- really sparked my late-night set.
Anyway, Thee Vicars just straight up DESTROYED O'Brien's a few weeks ago, and I hope they hit the states again soon. One of the most underrated bands making the rounds these days. "Psychotic Beat" is a must-own
