1990s have been cancelled. No, the band.

For those still unaware, the 1990s show at Great Scott tonight has been canceled. My snark via the Boston Herald:

No, we can’t blame Limp Bizkit, 3rd wave Britpop or even Hypercolor clothing on this one — the 1990s have been cancelled.

The Scottish indie trio were set to rock Great Scott in Allston on Monday, but have nixed their entire tour due to “unforseen circumstances.” Could it be visa issues? Did they get beat up by the 1980s or even mocked by the 1970s?
Were they tired of lazy journalists making silly jokes about their silly name?

Either way, it’s a bummer, as the band had a mild dance floor hit a few years back with “See You At The Lights,” and were stateside touring off their priomising new album “Kicks.” No word on rescheduling as of yet, but stay tuned.
