Allston quartet The Honors is a fairly new local band I've been digging lately, re-emerging with an Editors/Killers-ish brand of modern indie dance rock. To hype their EP out later this summer, this week they released lead single "Knees & Elbows," which I've seamlessly spun a few times at the pill in peak dance time.
It flows easily with shit like the Ting Tings, Hiss & Chambers and Late of the Pier, and you can check it out on their MySpace.
The Honors' next show arrives June 18 at Hennessy's (aww, remember Hennessy's?!?!), which is a slight bummer since that's the night of Passion Pit at the Dise and A-trak/Diplo at the House of Blues. But they're then on a fan-fucking-tastic June 29 bill at the Middle East with NJ's Static Jacks and pill heroes the Daily Pravda. Oh, that EP release I mentioned: at the pill on July 24. Love it.
